At the base of the Front Range, there is much to photograph.
Golden, Colorado sits at the base of the Front Range and so there are plenty of opportunities for landscape photography. In the last couple of months, I have found a couple of places for good sunrise/sunset photography. North Table Mountain Trail is great for photographing the Flatirons at sunrise. So far I have not seen many wildflowers, but I can imagine that would be another reason to shoot there later in the spring. South Table Mountain is great for photographing the town itself and the Front Range behind. Lookout Mountain has several opportunities- Mt. Zion is a short hike from the Lookout Mountain Road. There are great views looking west from Mt. Zion. The Lookout Moutain trail is another great place to photograph the Front Range mountains west of Golden. The Top of the Lookout Mountain is of course an excellent place for sunset/sunrise photography.
