Dead Horse Point, Canyonlands, and Arches in the Winter.
We did a roadtrip to Utah this holiday season and camped at the Wingate Campground in Dead Horse Point state park for a few days. The landscape of eastern Utah is unique and with some snow on the ground, it was more scenic. The drive back however, was not entirely fun because of a blizzard. This are a few photos from the trip.

Sunrise at Mesa Arch. Canyonlands. Social distancing wasn't on most people's mind here. But I was able to dart to a good spot, get this shot, and then retreat to safety.
Mesa Arch sunrise. This is not the postcard shot, but equally beautiful.
The key to survival in this winter camping trip was a good camping kit. I am glad I took a good tent, a 0 F sleeping bag, and an insulated sleeping pad. The temperature at night was around 20 F with breeze. And on the last night, there was a blizzard. Overall, Wingate Campground in dead Horse Point State Park is perfect because it's relatively small and provides solitude but still has all of the amenities. There is a side trail from the campground that connects to the Rim Trail.
